Joey is related to Shellshock through
Jeremy, where Joey first taught him how to sail at the Columbia
Yacht Club.
Joseph ran Colombia
Yacht Club's junior sailing program for a decade before
moving out to California where he worked for the Saint
Francis Yacht Club and California
Maritime Academy. In 1999 he was awarded the US Sailing Sportsmanship
award, which is a great honor. Currently he is the sailing
director for the city of Lake Forest and is on the US Sailing National
Board.
Mr. Harris enjoys sailing for Shellshock because of their "serious
and focused, but casual" attitude towards the program. The crew enjoys
having Joseph on board for his skills, experience and good nature.
Joey, also a South Sider, was raised in (and currently lives in) the neighborhood
of Hyde Park. |
